Software Engineer Integration - Java

As a (Junior/Medior) Software Engineer Integration in our Engineering API team, you’ll help build and maintain the core integrations that connect Odido’s systems and services.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product teams to create smooth and scalable integrations, whether it’s migrating legacy services to our modern iPaaS landscape or designing RESTful APIs that make things better for our customers.

Your key responsibilities

• Build and maintain integration components and services, primarily using Java and REST
• Help migrate services from legacy systems (ESB) to modern platforms (iPaaS)
• Work with experienced engineers to create scalable, secure, and reusable APIs
• Support internal teams by creating clear documentation and technical input
• Continuously improve code, tooling, and team delivery practices
• Collaborate across squads to align technology solutions with business needs
• Explore and learn new integration technologies and patterns
• Monitor and troubleshoot integration performance and reliability

Must-have qualifications

• HBO/Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 2–4+ years of experience in Software Development
• Solid experience with Java programming and RESTful services
• Understanding of integration principles, APIs, and messaging systems
• Affinity with cloud platforms, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines
• A proactive mindset and strong desire to learn
• Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a big plus) – Must live in NL.

Nice to have (but not required)

• Experience with middleware products (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi,, Tibco, Tyk, Kong)
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL/NO-SQL), UNIX/Linux environments
• Familiarity with DevOps practices or API gateways
• Basic experience in telecom or complex system landscapes
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
