Senior Java Software Engineer
ING is looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join the Global Customer Data Management (GCDM) tribe. You will build scalable, high performance systems that power customer journeys across retail and wholesale banking worldwide. You will work on Party and Agreement Management (PAM) and contribute to OnePAM, ING’s global master data management service for customer data and a key part of the Touchpoint Platform.
What you will do
Work in a squad owning the end to end customer journey together with engineers, a product owner and customer journey experts. You translate requirements into valuable features, influence technology and architecture decisions, support a strong team culture and perform meaningful code reviews focused on quality and business impact.
Tech environment
Java 17+, Spring Boot, Neo4j, Kafka, Azure SQL, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Git, CI/CD, Cucumber, Maven.
Requirements
Must have
- Java 17+ and Spring Boot experience.
- DevOps and infrastructure work, including Azure, pipelines, certificates.
- Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring colleagues.
Nice to have
- Neo4j or other graph database.
- Kafka.
- Domain Driven Design and Hexagonal Architecture.
Stand by
This role includes stand by shifts for incidents outside regular working hours. Stand by compensation applies.

- A salary ranging from € 3.872,12 – € 5.675,00 (based on 36 hours and depending on experience).
