Production Engineer
- Daily monitoring of the designated production plant by analyzing process performance and engaging into conversations with the operational team to address safety concerns and identify and resolve quality deficiencies and capacity restrictions.
- Improve personnel health & safety, process safety and the environment by investigating and taking action on incidents, near misses, operator concerns and join Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) or Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Identify and solve the causes of off-quality material, customer complaints and unplanned downtime, in order to achieve expected Product Line performance parameters.
- Lead and support complex problem solving, by using Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and Problem Analysis (PA) methodology.
- Closely work together with the Process Improvement team to architect and support the long-term process improvement strategy for the designated Product Line and help implement process standardization and best practices.
- Ensure adequate monitoring of production data and its proper storage in the company database
- Closely work together with Process Engineering team and evaluate Process Design Packages (PDP’s), commissioning plans and Pre-Start up Safety Review (PSSR) prior to implementation and/or start up.
- Become the technical and technology liaison for the operational team within the designated Product Line.
- Bachelor’s degree Chemical Technology or Process Engineering.
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in the chemical/process industry.
- Proactive safety mindset.
- Well-developed analytical skills, easy decision maker and tenacious in achieving results.
- Excellent planner and organizer with a high stress tolerance.
- Good team player showing high adaptability and optimism.
- Excellent and proficient communicator in Dutch and English.
- Certification on Six-sigma, Problem Solving and Decision Making and Root Cause Analysis are valued.
- Open for future rotation to other site engineering roles.
