As Position Manager you are developing risk-reducing strategies based on thorough analysis of data from the energy environment around us and generalizing the findings into strategies and tools.

To do this we will determine which power, gas and certificate products are the best portfolio fit, and we also contract special products such as gas storage and weather derivatives, in coordination with our colleagues in E.ON Energy Markets. 

Taking the next step in energy. It’s something that can only be done by working together and taking ownership. In your position as Position Manager, together with the team, you work on topics such as:

• Position management
• You do analysis and come up with innovative strategies to mitigate the risks within the portfolio as well and cost-efficiently as possible
• You signal the need to change pricing strategy tools, analyze impact of trends, and then participate in multi-disciplinary projects within the team to improve tools to support trader decisions
• Working international with colleagues in other countries

You have a strong desire to learn and develop your skills, you are open to feedback and like to work hands-on with our other members and stakeholders. You recognize yourself in the following:

• Up to 2 years’ experience, on trading, market risk management or similar?
• Proven commercial attitude
• Innovative and creative: dare to question existing processes regularly, challenge the status quo
• Four days a week, you’ll enjoy working from our office environment.

In this role you have a high commercial drive with a talent to extract opportunities in the international energy markets and spot trends in fundamental market development. Furthermore, you are a strong team player, by sharing knowledge, sparring and challenging on concepts and ideas an interacting in a responsive and encouraging way.

Besides that, you have a strong accountability, being prepared to take timely decisions without all information being available and taking responsibility for positive and negative consequences of your decisions. And finally, you have a change orientation: envision digital developments and solutions and support the digital transformation of processes and structures actively.
