The Maintenance Technician is responsible for both hands-on technical maintenance and the coordination of maintenance activities within a high-tech production environment. This role ensures the effective execution of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance tasks while also overseeing scheduling, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance processes, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintenance Planning & Coordination: Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for production equipment and building installations. Ensure efficient coordination of maintenance tasks among colleagues and /or suppliers to minimize downtime. Work closely with production teams to plan maintenance without disrupting operations. Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports for tracking performance and compliance. Collaborate with external service providers for specialized maintenance work.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Supervise the identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues related to mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment. Provide guidance and technical support to maintenance technicians in diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions. Ensure proper escalation and resolution of critical maintenance issues. Recommend improvements based on recurring equipment failures and root cause analysis.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Promote and enforce safe work practices among the maintenance team. Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive safety measures in collaboration with the HSE department. Ensure all maintenance documentation aligns with compliance and audit requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability. Work on energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability efforts related to facility operations. Suggest and coordinate technical upgrades or modifications to improve system performance. Support the development and execution of long-term maintenance strategies.
Inventory & Resource Management: Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available when needed. Coordinate procurement activities for maintenance-related materials and services. Ensure proper documentation and control of tools, equipment, and maintenance resources.

EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in a maintenance or facilities coordination role.
Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech production environment is preferred.
Knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and work order tracking.
Good Command of English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
Electrical engineering knowledge related to the roles of Responsible Person for Work and Responsible Person for Installations in accordance with NEN3140 is a plus.
