Your role
As a Junior Software Engineer in the Digital Applications team, you’ll help design, develop, and deploy resilient microservices that enhance Allseas’ vessel operations. Working in cross-functional teams, you’ll contribute to innovative software solutions that boost operational efficiency and support our cutting-edge offshore activities.
You’ll assist in building services that support vessel performance, automation, and data-driven decision-making. As part of the team, you’ll help integrate new features into existing systems while gaining hands-on experience in modern cloud technologies.
To succeed in this role, you bring a proactive mindset and eagerness to grow. You’ll apply your foundational knowledge of software development to create real-world impact and develop solutions that align with Allseas’ mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of engineering software projects, ensuring high quality and alignment with system requirements;
- Support the design of cloud-native software architectures for on-premise and edge environments to boost efficiency and enable new capabilities;
- Develop and maintain microservices using Python, Go and React, following clean code principles;
- Monitor and troubleshoot live services using metrics, dashboards and centralized logging tools;
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability;
- Collaborate with engineers and team members to foster a culture of learning, quality, and continuous improvement.
What we expect from you
- Academic experience with programming and software development with a growing affinity for event-driven and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Eagerness to learn and continuously improve by trying, failing, and experimenting with new technologies.
- A team player with a broad interest in technology.
- Proficiency in (some of) Python, Go, SQL, C#
