About The Job
EMEA ESG Specialist
For our Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Area, we are looking for an EMEA ESG specialist based out of our Rotterdam office.
Fagron is a listed company subject to reporting in accordance with the CSRD (Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive). Fagron wants to go beyond meeting the disclosure requirements and has a robust ESG strategy in place. In 2024 Fagron’s launched its updated ESG strategy: “Future Forward: Personalizing medicine” supports our ambition to increase access to personalized medicine while growing responsibly as an employer, a trustworthy business partner and an enabler of sciencebased compounded medicine. Fagron’s sustainability strategy embeds sustainability across three sustainability pillars: People, Operations and Compounding.
In view thereof, we keep on strengthening our current environmental, health and safety monitoring and reporting system for e.g. greenhouse gas emissions, occupation health, waste management, environmental pollutants and water use. We are looking for a EMEA ESG specialist that will be the linking pin between Global ESG team, Operations team, and Area leader EMEA and the local facility management in our EMEA region. You will help us professionalize our operational environmental, health and safety monitoring and contribute to realizing our environmental targets.
Your responsibilities
- Together with the ESG and Ops teams enhance the environmental, health and safety monitoring system for the Fagron Group.
- Implement the new EHS monitoring system in close cooperation with the production facilities and warehouses in the different countries in which Fagron is active in EMEA.
- Review data collected by the EMEA production facilities and warehouses so that the ESG Team can prepare disclosures required by the CSRD.
- Together with the ESG Team, Ops Team and production facilities and warehouses develop action plans to reduce environmental impact and improve occupational health & safety.
- Align action plans with key internal stakeholders such as the Area Leader EMEA.
- Support the production facilities and warehouses in EMEA in implementing the developed action plans.
- Serve as ESG specialist for the EMEA region, and support EMEA business where possible with ESG related requests.

Who are you?
You are a hands-on engineer with an affinity for developing and implementing new procedures and processes. You are passionate about (environmental) sustainability and are eager to learn. You are independent and analytical. You have between 1 and 3 years work experience. You are open to travelling for the job to different production facilities and warehouses in the EMEA region.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree that combines engineering and chemical knowledge such as chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or life science & technology or similar by gained experience.
- Knowledge of the environmental impact that businesses can have (greenhouse gas emissions, chemicals, water use, waste)
- Experience in developing and implementing new procedures and processes, preferably in relation to monitoring and reporting.
- Fluent in English (both speaking and writing). Speaking another European language of a country where Fagron is situated (e.g. Spanish, Polish, Czech) is an advantage.
- Experience with providing trainings is an advantage.
