The position will consist of these tasks:
Proactive contribution to the development of the new generation of products with regard to new concepts and new production techniques
You investigate and analyze problems and bottlenecks based on a root-cause analysis and proactively come up with improvement proposals that have an impact on the short and long term (continuous improvement).
Leading innovation projects
Participates in design projects, customized products
Optimizing existing products
Drawing up structured R&D plans, documentation, drawings and calculations
Supervising and setting up product tests
Supervising the production of new products
Actively looking for better solutions for the overall performance of the existing product range
Maintain regular contacts with both internal / external customers and suppliers. Where necessary also on location. In this network you represent our customer and you maintain good relationships
Frequent contact with our customers
Administration, sharing and reporting of activities related to R&D
Qualifications:
A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
8-10 years of relevant work experience in an independent R&D or engineering position within a technical work environment
Technical lead for highly complicated Sales/NPI projects & Level 3/4 CP’s
Ability to manage Projects successfully, including resource management out of other departments
Ability to divide all engineering department project work within scope among team members and ensure completion by deadlines
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, from Marketing to Sales to Operations to R&D/Engineering colleagues around the globe
Ability to handle unhappy senior (leadership) stakeholders including external customers
Thinking in various scenarios, participate pro-actively in roadmap discussions and choose ideal roadmap
A broad interest, varying from equipment construction to process technology
A driven personality who persists even when it becomes difficult and can work independently
In addition to the Dutch language, you also master the English language, spoken and written
Willing to travel (national and international)
