BI - Data engineer

Speyzer’s data journey is only just beginning. One of our five operating companies has successfully transitioned into our Smart Data Platform (SDP), and the rest will follow soon. We’re working towards a unified, multi-company data environment with a separate consolidation layer for group-level reporting. On top of that, we’re implementing a new WMS (SAP EWM) and selecting a new ERP system — systems whose data will also need to be integrated and reported via Power BI.

As a BI Expert, you will play a key role in enabling this transformation. Working alongside two other BI Experts within the Integration & Data team, you will support business analysts, ensure the availability and accuracy of data, and help build clear, actionable dashboards. Your primary focus will be on data engineering and Databricks development — essential to building a scalable and efficient data platform.

Your responsibilities

• Support business analysts with data collection and management;

• Monitor and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems;

• Build and maintain simple, insightful Power BI dashboards;

• Collaborate with data engineers and other BI Experts to develop data pipelines;

• Manage and develop workflows using Jira for a structured Agile Way of Working;

• Contribute to the development of our Smart Data Platform using Databricks and cloud-based tools;

Who are you?

• Strong data quality focus: cleaning, transforming, and enriching data;

• Experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines;

• Ability to handle large-scale data processing in a cloud environment

• Familiar with Azure components such as Service Principals, Key Vaults, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Databricks, SQL Database, and Synapse Analytics;

• Able to design cloud-based data solutions that are both scalable and cost-efficient

• Use of Jira for managing Agile workflows and sprint planning;

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere

• Knowledge of data modelling for WMS/ERP systems
